The base is built according to environmental standards;
The base has good quality/price ratio.

Forced choice

The test chosen was the forced choice which consisted in showing the three concepts and ask people to select which probably they would buy. The test was performed according to the following scheme:
If you were choosing a system/base for a sun-umbrella, which of the following would you be most likely to purchase?
System/Base A
. Easy to transport
. Fits with different sizes of tables and legs.
. It doesn't hinder the space.
. It's available in different types of wood.
System/Base B
. Easy to use.
. Articulates the use as a vase and the base.
. It's built with natural materials, as wood and cork.
. It can be filled with ground or water.
System/Base C
. Easy to transport.
. Easy to use.
. It's not very expensive.
. It's possible to use and combine with any available base at market.

Chosen concept

Of several people who answered the question (seven in all), only one chose option A, while the remaining respondents opted for the solution B, mainly because it is more aesthetically interesting and brings a greater relationship with nature.
This concept is an evolution of the first prototype made for week#1 and it's very simple: to combine two different uses in one single piece... In this case, the vase with the base. It also uses natural materials such as wood and cork, being the cork a lighter material that turns this piece more transportable.
So, these are the three main features of the concept that must be maintained and improved in the next prototypes: combination of the vase-base (greater relationship with nature), the use of natural materials and the aesthetically pleasing.
